Calamity Jane - the celebrated musical play of the Wild West - rides into Dunbar on the 25th of March, for 3 nights of rootin'-tootin', rip-roarin' fun, music and romance.
The play, based on the famous Warner Bros film staring Doris Day and Howard Keel, will be at the Dunbar Grammar School the nights of the 25th, 26th and 27th of March.
The Dunbar Lyric Group will be presenting the play, with some well-loved familiar faces, but also a whole crop of new musical theatre stars. Read More
Playing Calamity Jane is Frances Chapman of Humbie, ably supported by Liam Lannon of East Linton as Wild Bill Hickcock, Joanne Legge of Oldhamstocks as Katy Brown, and Paul Milne of Dunbar as Lt. Danny Gilmartin. Gordon Roberts will be directing, assisted by Murray Mackay. Karen Dietz is musical director, and the show will show off the talents of a small band of local musicians. Chris Yule and Sheilagh Fallon are producing the show.
Tickets cost £9 for full adult admission, with £5 for concessions. There will also be available a family ticket at £20, for two adults and two concessions, with represents excellent value for money.
Tickets will be available at the door or from members of the Lyric Group, and will soon be available from the Crunchy Carrot on the Dunbar High Street. |
